Anglesey Archives Service

Whether you want to trace the history of your house or trace your family history, our helpful and knowledgeable staff will guide and assist you through our collections of historical documents.
 Tracing your family history?
 Your holiday memories
A snapshot of lives today for the people of tomorrow

Many people do not realise the extent and wealth of material available in the Record Office but more and more are finding that 'digging' in the archives is not a daunting academic exercise but an enjoyable pastime: exploring, finding out and discovering the past.

Frequently used documents, such as Parish Registers have now been put onto microfilm and fiche. In order to avoid disappointment we strongly advise that you book a reader in advance of your visit.

It is not necessary to book to use original material but you may like to check beforehand that we hold the records you need.
