Holyhead – Historic Port Town

Holyhead is Anglesey’s largest town, and Wales’ busiest ferry port. The town has a wealth of history and heritage to explore, and is an ideal point from which to access the rest of Holy Island and the Anglesey Coastal path. Highlights include St. Cybi’s Church and Roman Fort, the Maritime Museum and promenade, Ucheldre Art Centre, and the Breakwater Country Park. Other facilities include a marina, Monday street market, cinema, shops and supermarkets, and food/drink outlets. The town has good transport connections, including regular ferry services to Ireland and frequent train and bus services to the rest of the UK.
